Launching the government’s new Child Poverty Unit this week Ed Balls, secretary of state for children, said: ‘Ending child poverty is a simple moral imperative; it has no place in modern Britain.’
A lot of charities have drawn attention to the fact that many families in Britain are so poor that they can't afford basic things needed to live. The Government has decided to make a move towards fixing this by making a group to look at the causes and possible solutions.... Is it a good idea? will it work? how should it work?
