The Recycle more website has some pretty simple worksheets for younger children including things like recycling wordsearches, questionnaires, and workshops on making things out of your rubbish. They also have some sheets for over 11's, which migth be used as a starting point to introduce people to recycling.

Woodcraft have a step-by-step guide for building yourself a bike trailer (no more excuses for taking the car when you've got a lot to carry!)
